Hillcrest Country Club, in Boise, sponsors the Albertsons Boise Open every September, and brings in pro golfers from around the country.  Warm Springs Golf Course, Indian Lakes Golf Course and Crane Creek Country Club are other popular Boise courses. The Banbury Golf Course, Shadow Valley Golf Course and  Spurwing Golf Course are popular courses in Eagle.

There are many lovely  parks  in the valley. Kathryn Albertson Park, Ann Morrison Park and Julia Davis Park are three beautiful parks in Boise. Zoo Boise is located in Julia Davis Park as is the Boise Art Museum and the Idaho Historical Museum. Meridian offers Boondocks Fun Center and Roaring Springs Water Park for great family fun.  In addition, Settlers Park, Tully  Park and Centennial Park are a few great parks to visit.  Also, if you would like specific information about the history of any local communities such as Boise, Eagle, Meridian, or Nampa you can click on the city (s) of interest.  McCall, Tamarack and Sun Valley are beautiful destination resort communities within 2-3 hours of the Boise valley offering wonderful summer and winter recreation. Bogus Basin is a gem for the Boise area.  It is a ski area located 17 miles north of Boise and also has night skiing.  Where else can you go skiing after work in the evening? Downtown Boise has been revitsalized and is a wonderful destination for visitors and Boise residents alike. The Mayor of Boise discusses the past, present and future of Downtown Boise in his article "In Many Ways, We Have The Downtown Of Our Dreams".

Prior to moving you should prepare a time sequential "to do" list.  You also need to make preparations to move family pets including  getting records from your veterinarian and medications, if necessary, to hold you over for a few weeks during this transition.
